Postage is not included, so email for a quote: basementradiokhartoumcom. "Jetzt sind wir dran", mit diesen Worten nahm sich eine Ostberlinerin den Platz einer Türkin in der U-Bahn zur Zeit der euphorischen Einigungsmonate. Heute ist die Jagd nach den wenigen Ausländern in Ostdeutschland Alltag einer radikalisierten Minderheit von Jugendlichen. Über 20 Prozent sympathisieren mit Aktionen gegen Ausländer, und über 40 Prozent teilen ausländerfeindliche Orientierungen. Sie sind Resultat eines autoritär verordneten Alltags in der ehemaligen DDR. Zur Aktivierung aber trägt die tiefgreifende Verunsicherung nach der Einheit bei. Die Verschmelzung von nationaler Einheit und einem leichtfertigen Wohlstandsversprechen hatte zu einer nationalen Euphorie beigetragen, die nun umgeschlagen ist.
